A buxom lady was escorting me around bus station “BUS EXT.”

We stopped in front of the ticket counter. There, I observed how to get a ticket to my destination which was Chinatown.  The cost–P21 pesos–was written in girly script on a cardboard.  It even offered discounts to families who wanted a tour.

To get a ticket, I had to write my name on a piece of paper. Then along with the money payment, use a rubber band to hold them together, just like the others neatly stacked in little boxes at the counter.  I worried because you could plainly see the money and anyone could easily steal it.

Once you put it in the box, your official ticket would be coughed up by this machine standing at the counter’s left corner.  My trip was dated June 21 but it took me around five times to get the damn ticket because I couldn’t write my own name right.

Next, I found myself swimming in a circular pool with a beautiful man.

We were locked in a full embrace, rotating together while revolving around the shape of the pool, against the current.  At the corner of my eye, I saw a bearded man watching us–me–with intent I could not quite comprehend.

This same man who sported a beard very much looked like a character from The Village.

He was waiting for me in this serene garden.  There were people about.  I felt he felt confident that in spite of everything he saw, I was eventually marrying him.

I was on the phone trying to contact this interior designer I knew from work.

The operator put me through and when the interior designer said “Hello,” it wasn’t a voice I recognized. I asked again if she was who she was and she said “Yes, I am her. ” I figured I was talking to an older version of herself.  She had no memory who she was before only who she was now, so she could not identify who I was.

  1. lots of perspectives on this one. it’s like all your selves–the ones from the past, present and future–have come together to take a trip.
